I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
